Eric and Kelsey are the epitome of personable, kind and just plain fun to be around, so their casual fall engagement session in Columbus Ohio was full of laughs and adorable moments. Leave it to Ohio to give us 85 degree weather days in the middle of October. Thankfully these two braved the warm weather while wearing their sweaters and channeling all of the fall vibes.
These two were destined to find one another, both originally from Ohio, Eric was living in West Virginia and home in Columbus visiting family when he and Kelsey matched on tinder! They talked for a few weeks before Eric was back in Ohio and they finally went on a date. It went so well they spent over 6 hours talking and really getting to know each other. Neither of them could wait to go on another one. After just one year of dating, Eric knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kelsey.
He began trying to figure out the perfect plan to propose to her. He knew he wanted to pop the question while on their trip to Sedona. When he began thinking about the different places he could propose, he knew he wanted it to be private, just the two of them. So the morning of the jeep tour they had scheduled, he convinced Kelsey to go on a hike. When they got to the park, he tried to stall long enough for Kelsey to walk away so he could slip the ring into his back pack. After what felt like forever, he finally suggested she go look at the park map to figure out where they were going and he got his moment. They hiked for a while when they stumbled on a rocky beach near a creek and Eric knew that was the perfect spot. When the moment was right and they were finally alone, he got down on one knee. Kelsey of course said yes!
When they aren’t out hiking, you can find these two hanging out at local breweries or finding some other kind of adventure. I had so much fun getting to know them during their engagement session, and even got to learn about bread salad (which I do not think I will be partaking in). I know from the time we spent together, that their wedding day is going to be so much fun! We spent the first part of their session taking in the fall atmosphere at Slate Run Metro Park before heading over to German Village. These two were naturals in front of the camera and their love was so evident. I cannot wait to watch them become husband and wife next year!
