Luck was on Jess and Matt’s side Sunday evening for their Cuyahoga Valley National Park Engagement Session ! The day filled with rain turned into a humid, but ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL evening with the glowiest sunset I have seen in a while. To say it was perfect is a complete understatement.
I met Jess and Matt at a part of the park close to their home. I was not only met by the two of them though. I was was also greeted by their sweet dog Lucy and one of Jess’s bridesmaids, Rachel. Rachel had the official title of dog sitter during the first half of their session. I mean, she was a lucky lady to get to escort miss Lucy around the park. We couldn’t keep Lucy out too long though as she is almost thirteen years old! She kept up for the mile round trip walk we made for the first part of her session and then found a nice cozy spot in the grass to lay while took some more photos.
After Jess and Matt’s outfit change we sent Lucy with Rachel to be dropped back at home and got to take advantage of the glowy, gorgeous light! These two met while being orientation advisors at Akron University about three years ago. You can tell by watching them interact and by their sweet comments that they were absolutely made for each other. I couldn’t tell you how many times I overhead Matt tell Jess how beautiful she looked, and she definitely returned her share of compliments too.
We left their first location and headed to another part of the part with a gorgeous hill and tall grass that caught the light of the sunset just right. It looked like something out of a dream with the warm yellows washing over the park. Showing Jess the back of my camera she was raving about the light.
Don’t even get me started on Jess’s stunning rose gold engagement ring. Her perfect oval center diamond placed on a diamond lined rose gold band was breathtaking! Matt sure does have impeccable taste in rings! Photographing her ring was pure bliss!
It touches my heart to see two people so full of love for one another. One of the things I enjoyed most was that not only were these two so in love, but they were also full of joy and laughter! Seriously, I can already tell we are going to have a blast on their wedding day. I can’t wait for their June 2021 wedding at The Belarusan in Strongsville, Ohio!
